Standard Rate

• $55 to $70 per hour, per assistant.

  • Customized based on the complexity, scope, and specific requirements of your request.

• 4-hour minimum booking per session, per assistant

• Travel & Errand Pricing

  • Standard Commute: Free travel within a 15-mile radius (30-mile roundtrip). Distances exceeding this boundary are billed at $0.76 per mile per assistant.

  • On-the-Job Errands: Driving done during an active session (such as product shopping or donation drop-offs) is billed at our standard hourly rate.

  • Errand Mileage: All miles accumulated while executing active, on-the-job errands are billed at $0.76 per mile.

Daily Minimum

• 4-hour minimum booking per session, per assistant

• Short-Duration Tasks: Tasks under 4 hours (including shopping/errands) are billed at the standard 4-hour minimum per assistant.

Daily Travel & Errand Fees

• No fee for locations within a 15-mile radius (one-way). Any travel distance exceeding a 30-mile roundtrip is billed at $0.76/mile per assistant.

• On-the-Job Errands: Active session driving is billed at our standard hourly assistant rate.

• Errand Mileage: All miles accumulated during active on-the-job errands are billed at $0.76/mile.

Direct Billing & Expense Management

• Payment & Procurement Tracking: To ensure seamless logistics, all household purchases, errands, third-party vendor fees, and activity bookings made on your behalf will be managed using one of the following two pre-approved options:

  • Option A (Card on File): Clients provide a primary credit card to be securely kept on file. This card will be authorized and charged directly for all real-time purchases, material sourcing, vendor deposits, and specialized errand costs.

  • Option B (Prepaid Expense Deposit): Client funds a designated upfront prepaid expense deposit before project work or shopping begins. Sort Theory will draw down from this prepaid fund to cover physical organizing supplies, courier surcharges, or vendor fees, providing an itemized receipt log on your final billing invoice. Any unused funds will be fully refunded upon project completion.

Payment Terms

• On-demand billing invoices are issued at the end of each day of service and are due immediately upon receipt, unless another agreement is specified.

Cancellation Policy

• We require a minimum of 72 hours written notice via email for all cancellations.

• Late Cancellation & Rescheduling: Cancellations or schedule changes made with less than 72 hours’ notice will incur a penalty fee equal to 50% of the total project estimate or the 4-hour minimum ($260), whichever is greater.

  • Note: In the rare event that we must reschedule your session, we promise to provide a minimum of 72 hours' notice, except in cases of sudden illness or unsafe winter driving conditions/canyon closures. If we must reschedule inside this window, you will receive priority booking for our next available date.
